A strategic working meeting was held at Bolnisi Agro Center, focusing on the organization’s transition to a commercial and financially sustainable model.
During the meeting, the Agro Center’s management and team members discussed how to further develop its services in a way that would allow the organization to gradually increase its own revenues while maintaining service quality.
Several key directions were identified in the process:
- Development of a 3-year strategy based on a commercial model
- Strengthening commercial approaches within existing services
- Preparation of a one-year action plan
- Establishment of financial sustainability mechanisms
- Introduction of a monitoring and evaluation system
Particular attention was given to the wine sector, where demand for the Agro Center’s services is especially high and which is becoming one of the Center’s key areas of operation.
The meeting marked an important step in shaping the organization’s future development vision. The next stage will focus on further refining the strategy and sharing it with local stakeholders.
The working meeting was conducted with the support of the Local Economic Development Project (LEDP). The LEDP is implemented by Helvetas with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The project supports municipalities in strengthening cooperation, developing economic opportunities, and supporting the private sector.
