National Partnership

Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI) and the Local Economic Development Project (LEDP) have joined forces to drive regional development across Georgia. This partnership, formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding, focuses on strengthening local economies through the 2024-2026 Integrated Territorial Development Program (ITP). Led by MRDI, this initiative promotes balanced socio-economic growth by supporting local self-governments and addressing regional disparities.

Together, MRDI and LEDP are committed to creating economic opportunities, encouraging innovative business practices, and focusing on inclusivity, especially for ethnic minorities, women, youth, and migrants.

This partnership plays a crucial role in advancing Georgia’s European integration aspirations, while fostering sustainable growth and strengthening resilience in local communities.

National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia

The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) has partnered with the Local Economic Development Project (LEDP) to strengthen economic opportunities and drive sustainable growth across Georgia’s regions. As a recognized voice of Georgia’s municipalities, NALAG unites local governments, advocating for their interests on national, regional, and international levels. Together with LEDP, NALAG will play a vital role in empowering local self-governments to advance economic initiatives and foster a collaborative environment for businesses, civil society, and the public sector.

In this partnership, NALAG will contribute its expertise to support local authorities through training, problem-solving, and sharing best practices, focusing on innovative, inclusive, and sustainable economic planning. The collaboration aims to create employment opportunities, develop regional clusters, and enhance the capacity of municipal economic departments, ensuring that local stakeholders can effectively respond to their community’s economic needs.

ISET Policy Institute

The collaboration between the ISET Policy Institute (ISET-PI) and the Local Economic Development Project (LEDP) aims to strengthen local economies by enhancing municipal planning and advancing regional development. This partnership leverages ISET-PI’s analytical expertise and LEDP’s on-the-ground support to address market challenges, generate employment opportunities, and empower local entrepreneurs. Together, we are committed to fostering resilient and dynamic economies that benefit communities and promote long-term prosperity across Georgia.

Enterprise Georgia

Enterprise Georgia (EG) and the Local Economic Development in Georgia Project (LEDP) have partnered to promote sustainable economic development across Georgia’s regions. Combining EG’s expertise in fostering entrepreneurship with LEDP’s systemic approach to addressing market inefficiencies, this collaboration aims to strengthen local businesses, create employment opportunities, and encourage innovation. By focusing on regional clusters and leveraging unique economic strengths, the partnership seeks to address systemic constraints and foster inclusive growth.

Together, EG and LEDP are working to enhance stakeholder collaboration among municipal governments, private sector actors, and civil society organizations. Through targeted interventions, innovative practices, and private sector engagement, the partnership strives to build resilient regional economies while contributing to Georgia’s broader development goals, including those outlined in the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.
