The Local Economic Development Project presented the preliminary findings of a study on the economic potential of the wine sector in Georgia’s Kartli region. The meeting gathered vineyard owners, winemakers, and representatives from the private sector, public agencies, and local authorities.
The study, conducted by DEPA Consulting, aimed to assess the current state of wine production and sales in Bolnisi, Tetritskaro, and Marneuli municipalities.
Key findings highlight the need for technological upgrades, improved quality control, and stronger cooperation among producers.
